Maruleng FM was born in 2009 by the youth of Maruleng and formally instituted in 2012, broadcasting on air for the first time on 4th January 2016.
Maruleng FM is a legal entity and registered with the department of social development as non-profit organization. Maruleng FM was granted 5 years broadcasting license by (ICASA) in 2013.
Maruleng FM is broadcasting from D21 road on the entrance of Maruleng showground opposite Maruleng Thusong service centre.
Our signal coverage encapsulates among other areas as Our content is 60/40 ranges from education, health, entertainments, civic and current affairs, culture, gospel etc. and our target audience is all age groups.

independent, community owned and run local radio station which will:
Create and improve access to local information, publicize community events and entertain the community.
Increase the sense of connectedness in our community between people of all ages, social, cultural and ethnic backgrounds.
Provide a forum for engaging in discussion on issues of local, national and international importance.

Maruleng Community Radio shall have its primary focus on community development, particularly promotion of primary healthcare.
Maruleng Community Radio shall also focus on all social ills such as problems of social education, unemployment, poverty, youth, lack of entertainment, tribalism, racism and abuse of human rights in communities within its broadcasting footprint.
Maruleng community Radio shall not broadcast any material that promotes hatred, discriminate against an individual or a group on basis of race, sex age mental or physical ability or sexual orientation.
Maruleng Community Radio shall strive to be self-reliant to ensure that funders and commercials interest does not overlook its community responsibilities.
Maruleng Community Radio shall air material in a comprehensive, balanced, articulate context, while actively promoting local content and development.
Maruleng Community Radio shall refrain its involvement with any individual or a political party whom it believes that they want to use the radio to score their goals or promote hatred, discrimination against an individual or a group or class of individuals on the basis of race, religion,
nationality or ethnic origin or colour, sex, age mental or physical abilities or sexual orientation.
Maruleng Community Radio pledge to practice to equal treatment to all people within and outside its broadcasting footprint in terms of participation in programming; however the programming department reserves the editorial rights.
